Becky met with Dave Morton, owner of JW Morton and Associates and Robin Mixdorf, President of The Meth-Wick Community. Information from a recent focus group that was done illustrated that the ACTUAL PROCESS OF DEALING WITH YOUR STUFF was one of the BIGGEST BARRIERS TO MOVING to a retirement community.From this meeting Get Organized! became THE MOVER OF CHOICE for The Meth-Wick Community and Meth-Wick began offering FREE hours with our company for every new resident that moved to The Meth-Wick Community. We are happy to say after 15 YEARS we are STILL a MOVER OF CHOICE for The Meth-Wick Community and they are still offering FREE moving hours with our company!In approximately 2006 we began offering consignment and resell services for our clients. That expanded to a store-front location in 2011. IT’S SIMPLY SERENDIPITY opened it’s doors on June 1, 2011.Also in 2006, Becky’s speaking career kicked off with her speaking 48 times in just one year! That is almost one seminar/workshop every week!! She has subsequently spoke NATIONALLY for the Attention Deficit Disorder Association Conference (ADDA); National Association of Professional Organizers Mid-West Conference (NAPO); Future Business Leaders of America conference (FBLA) and the Chicago Home School Conference and Expo.Becky appears frequently on TV and radio stations and was featured nationally on THE TLC NETWORK as a Certified Professional Organizer on the March 23, 2011 episode of HOARDING: BURIED ALIVE.Becky has also been a contributor to many publications. In 2012 Becky released her book “2 MINUTE ORGANIZING MIRACLES: Secrets to Leading an Organized Life”.In 2014, after contracting with various local moving companies for 10 years, Get Organized! began the process of purchasing HECK’S TRANSFER. Heck’s was originally started by Arnold Heck in 1962. Sadly, Arnie passed away in early 2014 and the family decided to put the business up for sale. On February 25, 2015, we officially closed on the purchase and became the new owners of HECK’S TRANSFER AND MOVING.Prior to purchasing Heck’s we specialized in helping individuals organize their homes, downsize, pack, move, unpack and put everything away in an organized fashion. With the purchase, we were able to expand services in moving and downsizing. HECK’S TRANSFER IS LIKE NO OTHER MOVING COMPANY IN THE AREA.
